Friends of Cancer Research Launches "Engaging Innovation" a New Online Forum

WASHINGTON, DC (December 9, 2013) – Today, Friends of Cancer Research is excited to announce the launch of the online forum Engaging Innovation.” Leaders from regulation, research, drug development, treatment, and advocacy will share insights and innovations in an ongoing dialogue about the most critical issues in the fight against cancer.

Our inaugural entry is an interview and video with one of our country’s leading innovators, Dr. Francis Collins, Director of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Collins sat down with Friends of Cancer Research to talk about personalized medicine, research funding, sequestration, and opportunities for young scientists in America. This is the first in a series of conversations we’ll be hosting on our new online forum. If there’s anything you’d like to add to the conversation, we invite comments, contributions, and engagement. Be part of the conversation and pitch your ideas for future contributors on Twitter @CancerResrch using #EngageInnovation or email us at info@focr.org
