The non-profit Reagan-Udall Foundation said it elected Ellen Sigal as chairman and Richard Schilsky as vice chair of its board of directors.
Sigal, who has been acting chair since 2015, is the founder of advocacy group Friends of Cancer Research. Schilsky is SVP and CMO of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He has been a Reagan-Udall board member since 2013.
The U.S. Congress created the foundation in 2007 as a public-private partnership to oversee and fund precompetitive research to advance drug development and regulation.
