Real-world Data (RWD) are data captured during routine care in the real-world, which includes information recorded in a patient’s electronic health record (EHR), registries, or claims data reported to insurance. These data can be leveraged to generate Real-world Evidence (RWE) which can support drug development by providing real-world clinical insights on patient symptoms, adverse events, and the potential benefits and risks of a drug or device.
