Administrative and Policy Assistant

Hailey Brue serves as an Administrative and Policy Assistant at Friends of Cancer Research (Friends). Friends is an advocacy organization based in Washington, DC that drives collaboration among partners from every healthcare sector to power advances in science, policy, and regulation that speed life-saving treatments to patients. 

At Friends, Hailey provides support to the President and assists with the coordination of various activities, including meetings, conferences, and travel. She also regularly contributes to special projects related to patient advocacy and other related policy. 

Before joining Friends, Hailey worked as a Regional Organizer with Fair Shot Texas, where she conducted outreach to a diverse coalition of community leaders and grassroots activists around policies aimed at providing working families a fair shot at better lives 

Prior to working as an organizer, Hailey worked as a Legislative Intern in the office of US Representative Scott Peters, where she supported the congressman’s environmental and health portfolio. Hailey received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and public policy from the University of Southern California in 2019
