Friends of Cancer Research (Friends) is hosting a webinar designed for advocates on February 19, 2025, as a follow-up to Friends’ public meeting titled, “Advancing the Future of Diagnostics and Regulatory Innovations” on February 4, 2025.
The webinar, “Advancing the Future of Diagnostics and Regulatory Innovations Meeting Recap: Sharing Next Steps and Opportunities with Advocates,” will dive into the discussions from the core event and explore implications for patient advocacy and regulatory efforts. The advocates webinar will feature:
- An overview of evidence generation for digital pathology and AI technologies, presented by our diagnostics project partners and Friends Advisory Advocates.
- A discussion of findings from the Friends Digital PATH Project.
- Strategies for developing diagnostic tests for rare biomarkers, and future regulatory considerations for emerging, cutting-edge diagnostics tools.
- Q&A session with working group members from Friends’ diagnostic projects (patient advocates, researchers, and regulatory experts).

Before attending the webinar, we encourage advocates to submit questions about the topics discussed and attend the core diagnostics event (“Advancing the Future of Diagnostics and Regulatory Innovations.”) either virtually or in person (Washington, DC).
