Magdalena Heider serves as Operations Associate at Friends of Cancer Research (Friends). Friends is an advocacy organization based in Washington, DC that drives collaboration among partners from every healthcare sector to power advances in science, policy, and regulation that speed up life-saving treatments for patients.
At Friends, Magdalena supports key components of the of the organization’s operations and fundraising. She leverages her business management and analytical background to maximize donor support and engagement, ensure transparency and accuracy, and develop dashboards and metrics to improve financial trends.
Prior to her current role, she held the role of Operations Intern at Friends, which provided her with a deep understanding of the organization’s operations, which she now applies to her current responsibilities.
Before joining Friends, Magdalena was a Student Assistant at Marymount University, where she supported the marketing and communications department with managing the content of the university website.
Magdalena holds a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marymount University.
