Friends of Cancer Research (Friends) hosted a webinar for advocates on June 11th at 1PM ET that focused on topics in cell and gene therapy development, including early-phase clinical trials, manufacturing, and clinical trial designs and evidence generation. Panelists provided background on the unique challenges in developing these complex therapies and explore solutions to advance evidence generation approaches that balance flexibility with robust understanding to support development efficiency and patient access. 

While the public meeting on May 6th featured in-depth discussions on scientific, manufacturing, and regulatory considerations, the advocates webinar translated these complex concepts into clear, actionable takeaways for advocates—highlighting key themes, clarifying outstanding questions, and emphasizing patient-focused next steps.
