Advocacy Education Programs

ProgressforPatients.org (PfP.org)

ProgressforPatients.org and ProgresoparaPacientes.org (Spanish version) programs are disease-agnostic advocacy education platforms, offering accessible resources and self-guided online courses for patients, advocates, and caregivers who are interested in learning about the FDA’s role and public health mission, clinical trial phases, drug approval pathways, and advocacy case studies. The programs help advocates build the knowledge and skills needed to communicate effectively with researchers, drug developers, and regulators. Friends’ self-guided courses have equipped more than 1,000 advocates with foundational understanding of drug development and regulatory processes, with many graduates applying this knowledge through community engagement and advocacy across the drug development and regulatory lifecycle. Through partnerships with nonprofit advocacy organizations, PfP.org also extends this baseline education to broader patient communities. Visit the websites below to register for free and learn at your own pace.
